I will be there thursday. I ran into a snag today, Year before last I stored it in a buddy's shop, and he has diesel trucks. There was black gunk all over the car, and it didn't want to come off. I ended up washing it three times, actually scrubbing it with a sponge to get it off. But it looks good now. I stopped for gas while I had it out, and a buddy pulled in and asked if I had it painted again. So I guess I did a good job.

Quote from: "purplepickup"Is there going to be enough canopies? I can bring a 10x14 EZup. Got plenty of room.

There should be enough shade for everybody Red and I brought two canopies and one is really big. Dave has one, Ken has one. Should be all good.

Had a great time today hanging out with everyone but it's weird to not have a car here....a bit of seller's remorse.  :?

We are right behind the repair shop if they open it.

I got home this afternoon. No major problems. I had a great time, met some people for the first time, and saw a bunch I already considered friends. It was hot, over 90 each day, but not a cloud in the sky all weekend. There were lots of pictures taken, I defer to those who took them to post them.

On the way home I had two ladies follow me off the freeway into a gas station just so they could take pictures, Oh, they took pictures of the car too.

My wife says I am not allowed to ride with you.

I am glad you had a good trip home.

We stopped on the "Devils Elbow" bridge on Route 66 for a photo.  This the place were we placed our parents ashes in the river.

Some people try to turn back their odometers
Not me, I want people to know "why" I look this way.
I\'ve traveled a long way and some of the
roads weren\'t paved.

My trip was 1902 miles, 19.76309 mpg. That included at least an hour of idle time getting in and out of the grounds. I ran down the interstate a little over the speed limit running air most of both ways. Going, there were traffic bogs were I ran 20 mph for miles. On the good tank fills, the truck gets close to 21 mpg. Sure was good to meet everybody. If anybody want's a copy of the group shot I took, send me a pm. :)

Running around Louisville I averaged about 10 MPG. On the trip there and back I averaged just over 16 MPG. Not bad for a 454.

The only problem I had was the speedometer braking shortly after arriving in Louisville.

Made it home yesterday before noon with no real issues. Car ran great and I only picked up one extra paint chip that I know of.
I sent the crew pictures to Frank so I am hoping he can post those. As for the cars, I will post a link once I get them to google photos.

Can't wait to check out the Nova at the next cruise in or car show. It was won by a local guy who already has a 65 Nova.
