I won't know until tomorrow if I'll have everything in place to go. I've been working as fast as I can. I probably should have pulled off the 72 2 weeks ago and got ready. So much for hindsight. I booked 2 different rooms . Is this in a bad part of town either for traffic or otherwise?

I don't know what 50th thing this is about but you gents have a blast and stay cool. I was across the river from my hotel reservation in Kentucky on a PTour last decade, never made it and forfeited the room dough. My 400 was dying and I sat for 3 hours watching a bridge full of traffic never move an inch. Turned back and limped home through the night and had a close call with the reaper on the interstate. Destroyed the block and crank but made it home. Hope you all fare better. All I did was stare at Kentucky wishfully from afar. Will not be going. Well wishes to round tablers who are.

I don't know what 50th thing this is about.....

The "50th thing" is the  NSRA 50th Street Rod Nationals.  I've been registered for almost a year, looking forward to it for more than a year, but unfortunately last week life has interrupted my plans and I won't be able to make it.  Really bummed.  I wish everyone that is going a great time.  Have fun.

We are staying due south of that motel a short distance on the map.  Who knows how far it is in real life.

Try to get something done today.  Take fewer breaks.


I am switching the rear end assembly from the Explorer to the Ranger and the Ranger to the Explorer.  Tomorrow will be spent getting the car ready and waiting for you to pull in the driveway.

I've thrown in the towel on my '40 Chevy for this meet. It's done on the outside but no carpet, no door panels, no kick panels, no seat belts and still working on the power windows. I got a lot done in the last 10 weeks...paint, buffed, assembled and chased a lot of details. Nats North is on the horizon.

I will be there though for Thursday and Friday. I'll see most of you guys at Don C's wher I reckon I will hang out for the most part. Leaving tomorrow morning. Staying up in Sellersburg on I65.

Sam and I are not bringing shade.  We will mooch off of others.  It will leave more room in the trunk for other stuff that is real important.
