I could conjure up a couple reasons, but only the boss could answer that.

The owner brought us tail lights and Longhair had to bring the outside of this hole in about half an inch to fit one.

That longhaired old boy is still milking the Pantera but it is mostly primed now. It seems that once tail lights were available for fitting, additional worms slithered from the can.

How about other stuff? Couple Chevys maybe?

I have a few parts available for that 66. For sure a nice hood and possibly a deck lid. The deck lid I have may be too long front to rear, Both with no rust.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

Distance between car and parts probably make that a no-help BUT it is worth remembering for the day of triage. :)  Thanks!

I put a day in the Pantera today... fixing lingering trouble spots. Think I got em all but y'know.

Nothing shows up on these rear valance pics but there was straightening of oil cans and touching up thin welded areas where brackets attach inside, any found holes, etc.

But, I got this nice sequence of fixing the wide left cowl gap  :)

Hopefully thats straight enough for the next guy to work with.

A new guy worked his butt off to get it in urethane primer last Friday-

Then over the weekend in a domestic dispute, he caught a police rifle butt upside the head. Face, rather. Saw a pic of the wound. They are pinning his sinus cavity back together. Shattered his skull and he was unarmed.  Said he went around the corner of his house and woke up with blood everywhere. So... yeah.     In the westerns, they call that gun-whipping.

Speaking of domestic disputes, couple that has the Bronco in the background apparently might, due to a case of failure to communicate between spouses (one says yes do that, the other no), go away. We were four guys short today. I am getting sick and Footloose's 375K mile DD just quit, but we showed up. Boy, boy, boy.  I have a lot of respect for my boss, he keeps a mighty even keel in stormy waters.

Hung doors on the Pantera today. New driver's side hinges needed mock up. They would not work. Thats this pic-

Put old hinges back on and it was acceptable. Other side had previously been mocked up but boss wanted to re-hang door for cust to see. It sits in too far at front. Painter says it fit when he blocked body lines. I was unable to duplicate what another guy had done with adjustments. Confirmed I was at the end of the range, told boss I can't do it. Asked guy who did for a secret but got none. Went home puzzled.

Happy Halloween, metal ghouls. Since I am off the Model A now, each day or half day is a new unknown. I'll walk in not knowing what I am supposed to do. Love that.

Oh boy... the bad news is I have probably a week of rust repairs underneath the Pantera to do.  :?  The good news is... hey, looky! Color!

I'm sure you'll hear and see too much of the under stuffs, along with an excess of complaining. Soon.
