No prep street drag racing is the latest thing.  Hooley and my friend David tried it last Saturday at Wagoner, Oklahoma.  It was a very cold day for drag racing and they had trouble getting the engines warmed enough for the alcohol fuel.  Notice how David was ahead but lost traction on the top end.  Here is a youtube link.

I have a friend who used to warm up his alcohol motor on gasoline . It was a carb fed system so he put a nitrous plate under the carb with just a fuel solenoid , nitrous side plugged . He messed around with jet size until he got one that would let the motor idle on the fuel spraying from the plate . No milky oil ! It is a permanent fixture so can be used whenever needed at the flip of a switch .
