You describe yourself as a grinder rather than a welder...but as well as you grind no one will ever know the difference. Of course to do that you also have to weld well enough for it to grind down smooth...  :)

Function over form I suppose. Kinda had to relearn to "weld" after that last extended period of sanding only.

Just sanding now and for the foreseeable future. Nothing to report other than sandpaper is just a sad story these days. The blue 3M stuff is one small step ahead of having none.

That yellow Chevelle came in. Another guy is fixing it. Of course the new fender required cutting welds between the jamb and skin at the most visible, critical area... just to bolt to the car to see how bad it is. And of course no new inner fender ever bolted to a fender it was made for.

Saw boss looking hard at a spot on the A so that is likely also non-positive. All negatives. Enjoy the peace and quiet. :)

All just sanded pix, how about? Thats fairly indifferent. :)

Everything below and behind the cab, plus hood underside, is sanded to IDJ picky level and dusted off. And it is rain rain rainy, perfect. Woop, negatone there sorry. Theres nothing to set a bed on, nor a place for it to exist off the truck so my friends Jack and Stand are helping me out. Heard we are not buying any more of the 3M blue sandpaper, now theres something we'll all be happy for out in the shop.  :)

Here yonder, just look and I'll hush before I start speaking Ozark.  :o

The funny shaped ghost under those bed sheets is the hood. The inside of it was ready to spray with both kinds of primer (epoxy then poly) when I took a vacation. Been nigh onta a couple months. We turned it right side up before I left so dust wouldn't settle on it over that weekend. So today I inverted it, hoping to attract action. On second thought, I covered it up to keep it pre-cleaned. And the circle of confusion is complete!   :blank:

Atop the inverted hood lie the rear bumpers with backside-epoxying slop sanded off. This pile in front of the Merc is 51 boards for poly and three bed cross braces for epoxy. Only three because the rearmost is now integrated. But got epoxy on inaccessible areas prior to roll pan installation.

Fenders, having a meeting. Of sorts. They won't bolt together all the way, the flanges are nowhere near flat.  :-o Imagine that.  ???

Sanded-

Yes, I did do the front as well. Leastwise thats whut mah shoulders are reporting. They said they was just rip-roaring to get at blocking that roof again. :)  Pass the mild sarcasm, heh. I don't mind the standing sanding and this'll be overwith soon enough I reckon.

Nice job on the inside of that hood.

Well, thank you.  :) Did that awhile back. They ought to have sprayed the polyester primer over it today but painter brought it back to my stall. Failure to do so within the no sanding window will avoidably burn labor. Guess whose. :blank:

Every little inch I hadn't been to was just murdered. I believe the cab was flatter than that bozo's mud. But he is getting ALL the fill work now. ??? And I swear... we got a new hire other day... very first task given was sanding clear on a Model A door. I do not understand these things.

Got it ironed out-

So  f i n a l l y  I get to work behind Matt. This is how that goes-

If he wants to keep it under wraps for any reason, posting on line is not a good way to do it. I know of at least one AMBR contender that was disqualified for pictures published in a magazine. That may not be the case here, but he has his reasons.
