Love the idea of a 460 in there . A friend of mine has a 460 in his and had problems with under hood temps. That engine bay gets pretty filled in .

That does happen when you stuff more than enough where barely enough once was, doesn't it? Did your buddy shave any of the stock vent openings? Or use a different radiator style?  Hot lopey 460 or RV stump yanker?

I seen the 51 outdoors from a long way off yesterday, but with some puny looking torq thrust 2s on her.

Meant to get a pic of the new old hood latch in there but couldn't get it open.   Its a work in progress.

Pretty healthy 460 it was . The iron heads came off a 530" motor that we ran 9.20s @ 3800lbs with on a 250 shot of n20

If it got too hot where you're at, imagine what it would do down here.  I haven't a clue about how whippy a 460 it is going in the Merc, nor if any hood mods are being considered. I did hear under dash air mentioned.

Looks like some decent panels on the 49-

Looks like the 51 job got iced-

I hope the 51 isn't parked for a real long time. It would be nice to see completion. :)

I am not likely to have further involvement in either one of the trucks from here out. Mike claimed this one and doesn't want to touch the A. Yours will probably be done first. I asked about getting those Tempest tail lights yesterday since they won't be used and if the owner ain't too proud of them. That inquiry may have marked me as a theft suspect now that I think about it.

Got a request for some design involvement yesterday. The owner needs to see five more sets of different wheels on it, plus accent color on those and on Boss 302 stripes. That is a substantial request considering I have no side view so will have to start from scratch. He doesn't really respond to images not perfect so that means a day or more of computer work. I hope it don't give out on me.

Only 5??? :) It is better than buying wheels and not liking the outcome.

That'll bring the grand total to 7 or 8. :) I asked boss pretty please are there any of those we can cull, to start? Ah  :D  yes, three culls. That'll get them quicker service for sure and maybe while the iron is still hot. I don't mind doing them all but which first was my primary ponder point. A side info tidbit is the plan does still include tubs. The new art is going to be just as much about locking in the color combo (main color photographs way lighter than it is, I'd call it plain tan if it was a crayon) which still looks like a pure brown siamese cat to me, and marks the beginning of stripe play. I gotta tell ya I am skeptical about a Boss stripe on a truck. We'll see.

I haven't gotten to wheels yet, this is try #2 on colors and no feedback yet. Can't bring myself to put a hockey stick on the door. This is the only stripe treatment I came up with that I don't dislike thus far. This is nowhere near finished, its a work in progress. It has been a trying week and next looks to be same.

Matt , did you try bringing it down lower on the hood and then below the reveal on the door? Not saying it might be better but just something to try. :) The original boss stripes were low on the door. If you brought them over the hood and then the fender and across the door, would that be a disaster?

I kinda think so.

Boss Mustangs have two stripe styles. This just struck me as um, ah... er... so horrid that while I even taped it (the proposed idea) out on the truck and posted pics, and tried it first on the computer...

Not even worth a save. Went straight to what you saw, which could wrap around cab and roll pan or come to a point. But a diagonal on a 50s truck door? Would we like to purchase a lip kit and wing today as well? It does have BumbleBee Kit headers (BBK)

Thats just how I communicate, nothing personal to folks who dig that. They wanted blisters on the A, zero Mustang cues. Whats different about this?

Matters not. I render things. Finished this about the time a text came saying don't sweat it, enjoy weekend. :)

Did what I could with what I have. Ambiguous wheel indications, no subtle tones. Needs bold orange accent above stripe and smaller dark stripe underneath.

Reality check please... does the stripe plan shown above float your boat or no? I am likely to dibble dabble at it today.

Also, which do you think is best for stripe experimentation on this: Drawn or rendered?

Learned some new design vernacular watching a British archaeology documentary... higgledy-piggledy. Anyone care to take a stab at the definition  :?:

No thoughts about either topic. :) That stripe will be tough no matter what.
