I think so. The V8 emblem location is to be as a 56.

Would exterior door handles be a bad idea?
TEAM SMART

The owner deliberated much and opted to keep the stock outside door handles. Goodness of an idea is in the eye of a beholder but I believe those were among the options considered. Seems to me like later handles would be safer if they are pushbutton type.

Those are weeks old and you will see in them what you guys will see regardless of what I intended them to show, but there they are. Uniform ride height must not be achievable in the rolling chassis phase but if it were, gobs of undue labor could be saved during body positioning.

It all looks good to me. I would buy it if it was for sale.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

I don't think you can point to any one thing, but overall it just looks better put together than you see in a lot of these trucks. I suppose maybe it's because we've watched you all through the process, but I don't think so. Everything gives the impression of being where it's supposed to be instead of "almost" where it's supposed to be.

I have never seen a 48/52 ford pickup so right as far as fit is concerned.  A job well done!

Thank you, guys. Since then the running board fronts did get mated to fenders but stopped midway on the right and never did adjust the right hood hinge down.

Close enough I reckon. I liked how the dash went in. Heres the pic I came to post the day something went wrong here.

I did others he never saw, because as usual I was "Just making things more complicated". I sure hope he has some metal behind it, thats all.

I can build you one, Frank. Or just give you the pattern pile. I hear we will still accept truck jobs with new frames, just not cars. Surely the money would be ridiculous though.

The guy cranking out beautiful Pontiacs in the next stall has started rubbing it in.    And much of the time theres no music or horrible music. I feel uncertain about the future.  :?  But am writing this before noon and you know how that goes. Tuesdays do feel like they should be Thursdays now.

^^^^
Was your thought to put defroster vents in the dash recesses?
TEAM SMART

idrivejunk

Yes. I hoped the illustration showed that intent.

  Diabolical laughter

My Pontiac-fixing cohort is gonna get dipped in it too . 49 Merc going on another Roadster Shop chassis. It has Pontiac tail lights.

Looks like a lot better body-

Will be interesting to see this as usual. Do you know drivetrain details yet?

Not the flattie.

I believe the run of the mill Coyote & 6R70. Peer pressure normally adds boost though. If I recall correctly, its to be a cruisin truck with nothing wild. Just modern. There are a lot of fasteners missing from it and some siliconed-in metal patchwork visible next to base of right A pillar on the pan... but the underside looks prime. Lots of undercoat everywhere. Without having looked, I suspect somebody just trimmed out a flat floor pan and laid it under the existing. Time will tell.

I thought to myself but may not have spoken it... but I see that 48-50 grille opening as infinitely more receptive to a canted headlight setup.
