Hood and top of the cab have been epoxied and 3 coats of high build primer. The bugs helped, also. :)

UGLY OLDS

Maybe attach some small pieces of sandpaper to the bug's feet & find out what kind of music they enjoy   :?:  :?:

At O&S, I blasted, metal prepped, sanded some bondo, caulked the firewall,  sealed some parts, applied the 1st coat of high build primer on the fenders and front valance panels and applied the 2nd coat to the hood and top. I did some yard work and cleaned the 51. TB has set in. :)

End of the day at O&S! I welded up some holes in the bottom of one door that I found after blasting. Da'd the doors and got the 1st layer of bondo and sanded down. I was cleaning the remaining glue residue from the door frames and found a rust spot. This was on top of the center brace that I replaced. I put some bondo over the welds in some of the areas inside the cab. Epoxied and painted white. The dash has 2 coats of clear for uv protection. I'm tired. :)

It all looks good, KB. :)  That bit about O & S is B and S if you ask me. Wonderful do on a nasty job! 8)

Saw a 51 Ford pickup hood on a pallet by the shop the other day and thought of you. In case nobody else lets you know... I think you've gotten even better at the pretty stuff just since I started following along. Just an opinion based observation. :)

Thank you, Matt. :)
Measurable progress for this afternoon: more bondo on back of cab and doors. 3rd application of primer on hood. I found 3 low spots that didn't clean up when blocking. May or may not be the last time. :)

Friends, Romans and countrymen, lend me your ears! :) It's the tail end of summer. The weatherman says I have 2 more summer days before the rains from the hurricane arrive. I'm in the drive, block sanding the top for it's 2nd time. I found 2 small spots right above the drip rail. One more time and it's done. I'm enjoying the weather so much that it's hard to explain. The magic of summer is still here and it makes all this body work easier. :) Summer magic. It's great to feel young while working. :)

The hood is blocked with 150. The low spots are gone. I will block it with 400 and then it will get sealed and color. It's getting dark out. :)

Did I mention I don't see well? I found 2 spots on the back of the cab that need some work. It has rained and is still drizzling which is hampering my progress. :)

Minor update. Drip rail is caulked. That was the last of the cab to be done. Small spots on rear of cab sanded and pinholes filled in top. It's friday and I'm tired. :)

Put in half a day today. Sanded and masked. Pics are of the cab in epoxy and high build primer. I'm hopeful it will be the last time before paint. The top looked good in wet sealer. The back of the cab is the 1st app.

The good news is: aw, there isn't any good news. :) More bondo on the doors. I blocked the rest of the front fenders for the 1st time. I found a few low spots and 3 small rust pinholes that I wasn't expecting. The weather is going back into the toilet the next couple of days so I will have to limit my work to items that aren't temp controlled. If I wasn't so slow, I'd have it painted by now and I wouldn't be held hostage by the weather. :)
