Nice looking car, it just keeps getting better. The exhaust space is really tight but it works. Hughes Performance transmission? Huh. Think I've heard of them somewhere...

That exhaust space with bucket seats but not knowing what the pipes would look like was just about like building B pillars for the Model A... like pulling something from thin air. Torture-esque. I walk the tightrope of how much to finish vs leaving every option open and try not to screw anyone over who works on it after me. Mike sounded comfortable with the exhaust thus far except (emphasis on except) the tail section. Known parameters being can't have a visible tip, can't point straight out the back or straight at the ground, and nothing which might deposit soot on paint. No fancy ideas flew but he gave noble effort and I haven't checked back in a couple days but he seemed happy Friday. My suggestion was an exit in the wheelwell with a specific angle and cut for a balance of function and stealth.

I have deduced the Hughes connection guy long ago but what the connection is exactly I have not. And I am OK with that.

Thats all Mike  8)

This is a miniature mockery of what I envisioned here... vertical above the wedge cut with that angled lower half following the bottom of the grille opening and of course with tall enough fins and set to the coolest looking depth.

To satisfy my own curiosity, I took a chunk of a pic of the brown convertible 65 GTO that Mike made a grille for years ago and plunked it onto a web-found Cat pic. I was shocked by how good the style looks.  I tried a vertical variant of same and it makes the car look worse. Good eye!

I like the horizontal bars too. The vertical bars look too busy to me.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

Yeah vertical was just awful, wow. I had to see it though. Sent that pic to Mike and he wanted his 3" off each bumper end and inch smaller headlights.

I guesstimated.

that grille is a keeper for sure !

Beyond that...

Tucked headlights-

These two are all me.

Hope you didn't just eat-

Back to business, boss wants to send it to the guy, Can we add fogs in the bumper? Yep and I'll slam n' black it-

Oops, forgot painted lower bumper

If it were mine, it would oh so very get a half dozen headlights. Imagine the freak value, I think its a wee bit disturbing.  :D
