I believe it was Artie Johnson on Laugh In that used to say "very interesting". :)

Howdy, Bob. I bet it will be the only 59 Cat at the show with no rust crumbs on the trunk mat.    :D

I updated the blog linked earlier, go check it out again for the details.

Again, any feedback about the blog is welcome. The trunk lid post does seem interesting so I upped the size of the words hoping they will not be so lost among the pictures. :)

Guys I haven't forgotten about posting, Just can't keep pace with equipment failures. Been without a PC 2-3 weeks and not going to post pics I can only see at 2" across. The deck lid repairs are complete except for final test fit and welding the pieces together. I will show stuff when I can. :D

Matt, that trunk lid has presented an interesting challenge. :) Good progress!

Thank you sir :)  Luckily the design of the panel allows this approach. Doing just the sketchy stuff and leaving the rest for fellow workers is new to me but I like it alright. Whoever does the cleanup and epoxy inside the skin can expect me to glance over their shoulder at least once.

Guys if it weren't such an involved process for me to post pics now I could put the whole story here like old times. Hope that you all can access the blog just as easily.

The front trunk gutter being so flat must be why the corrosion hot spot happens there. Tree fallout buildup and nobdy cares to change trunk weatherstrips until after a paint job.  So I figure its worth detailed coverage since it might apply to many cars. Glad to share it, Bob. :)

When are you starting the how to book ? Then you could make lots of money and get a pet lion .  I bet the neighbors dog would stop barking !

I don't think it will be a whole lot longer before my body can't do this stuff, so maybe then? Right arm is ate up with handicaps and I'd probably have to voice type because this hurts too if I do enough of it. However theres hope because I'd wager that about a quart of that good old mountain lion dew would make mutts cower. No need to feed a whole cat. I did see coyote urine advertised but my favorite dog is bigger than one.
