Quote from: "chimp koose"IDJ I normally try to set the engine in with the carb base level which is about 4 degrees down to the back on a sbc

Why didn't I think of that :?:  Thank you sir :)  Done 8)

Quote from: "kb426"Matt, this pic will clarify that there are 2 open ports to the exhaust when this mess of plumbing is removed. The connection on the cylinder head has a port that is connecting all the exhaust ports for emissions.

Not unlike EGR ports on an L67 which are not threaded.   At least you aren't capping it with JB weld and a dime   :)

In the pics you will see my shop made thermactor plug, That used to be a 5/8 x 11 1" long bolt. You will also see the lack of space. The video is showing more of a proper hot rod sound. :)

This evening I made up battery cables, battery mount and got a box of parts. I realized a few days ago that the wiper motor should be mounted before the wiring harness was in the way. There was a few other items I was going to need so to take advantage of free shipping, I ordered the stuff.

Lunch break. The pics are of headlights, mounts, ecu mount, tfi unit mounted and the new wiper motor ready to install. The headlights are leftover from the 32.

Today's stopping point. After installing the wiper motor, I found out the gauge cluster won't clear. :) I removed more circuits that aren't needed anymore. I started tying various areas that are finished with mods. The speed sensor on the rear is too long but it only has 2 wires. :) I'm ready to start looming some areas. Tomorrow has many solutions awaiting. I hope the idea god knows where I am. :)

Lunch break. One pic is of some more wiring that was removed. The rest is of the circuits tied up prior to looming when everything is finalized.

congratulations ! must feel great to finally drive a project car . I have not had that feeling since '93 when I first drove my Front engine dragster project. I sold my Anglia before it was done . hopefully my T is done in the next few years.

Here at old and slow garage, I have a little progress. I started this morning with making a steering wheel adapter. I got into it a little and decided I better think about it some more. I went back to work on the wiring. I spent hours trimming the gauge cluster so it would clear all the obstacles. The light and wiper switches are mounted and the fuse panel is where it needs to be. I have it safety wired to some brackets until I have a better idea for mounting brackets. The fuse panel has two connections with connectors for the radio circuit and the electric fan circuit. The wiring for the turn signals and high-low beam headlight switch is left as is the ignition switch. The column switch has around 5/8" travel while the f150 switch needs a full inch. I'm going to analyze different scenarios with both switches trying to find the weak points before making a decision as to what I will use.
