Hey, that looks like enough spaghetti for all of us! :D  Table is the wrong shape though.  :?  Got chairs for us all? I can bring my fork and "help".

Yeah, they don't work right once you let the smoke out.

Thanks for the advise, Bob. :) I pretty much live in a smoke free environment.
There is an assortment of pics. The new exhaust clamps arrived yesterday. The box of wire is self explanatory. :) This update is the next stopping point. I realized that I have cut a ground on the instrument panel that was necessary. It was a light blue with stripe wire. I thought it was a ground for one of the circuits I removed. Not so. :) After un-looming everything, this will allow moving most of the components to inside the cab. The tail harness is still about 8' too long and 10 other things left. I have something of a plan on how to run things now that I can see what length everything is. I haven't cut any wiring to the ecu. There are 2 sensors that the wire is way long. I'm going to have to decide to shorten or loop and hide. The alternator is charging, the trans and clutch works and the brakes stop the rear wheels from turning. :)

The gauges now are operational. In the wiring diagram it lists circuit 570, not used. Once you connect that to ground, life gets better. :) This is a Ford factory book. Just one more thing. :)

This is the 1st step towards hiding and hanging all the ugly wiring components. The bracket is where the power distribution box will be fastened to. The left side of the cover will have a hanger to support the wiring harness. That's all from O &S garage this evening. :)

I'd rather drive O&S's builds than a F&F one.

You got that wad of pasta whittled down to something presentable. Looks more like an old car amount of wires now. :)

Operational gauges seems like a mighty good step to be past. Good stuff, thanks for posting as you go.  8)

Suffering from brain damage this evening. Looked at the wiring and had no good ideas. A bolt order arrived today so I replaced a few bolts. O & S. :)

Ahhh... You forgot the locknut on the left side of the panhard bar ...
SEE  :!:  :!:   I DO look close at what you build  for ideas :!:    8)

Bob, they all have lock nuts, now. :) Either full or jam. I ordered both sizes in 1/2 and 7/16 to cover everything on this project. You know that the 175hp engine will try to shake everything apart. LOL

Hey ..  If you REALLY want that thing to jump around, check with Dave...(416 Ford) ...He knows a way to wire those small Fords so they will cough, sneeze, sputter, bang, pop & shake themselves to death  :!:  :!:
It's got something to do with plug wires or something like that I think....

Can you fire yourself? I went looking for exhaust leaks this evening. I had thought about using the thermactor crossover on the back of the heads. There wasn't enough room to clear the firewall on the left side. In working on other items, I forgot to plug the ports. The right side was easy with a short 5/8" bolt. The left side will require some work on a bolt so it can clear the firewall. Sheesh.

Do ten seconds with finger over hole and you can stay    My GM vocabulary skips thermactor

Seems like no huge things can work without microscopic detail fuss and clearance impossibilities somewhere. Cringe.

Hey so um... how much is a normal tilt of crankshaft in relation to chassis? None? Some? :?:

IDJ I normally try to set the engine in with the carb base level which is about 4 degrees down to the back on a sbc

Matt, this pic will clarify that there are 2 open ports to the exhaust when this mess of plumbing is removed. The connection on the cylinder head has a port that is connecting all the exhaust ports for emissions.
