Just you wait until the next rustbucket hits the scene!

George, thanks. I was flipping through the show pics when I took an intermission and saw your post here. It brings me untold pleasure to see the car loaded with folks and in use as a car. On behalf of the crew and myself... pardon me guys theres something in my eye.

I dedicate this post to the guy who never missed a show pic: Carnut. Rest in peace, George.

Gary hauled the big red car to Wichita today for a photo shoot, and sent me these spy peeks that he took there.

How many yards of butt weld are in that pic? :?:    8)

That's an amazing car. I was never much of a fan of these when I was young. Clearly it's because the ones I saw were worn out and in poor shape.

Not usually a fan of big inch wheels but they sure do something for this car . Its like they visually shrink the height of the main body and emphasize the height of the roof ?

I've always liked the 60's better than the 59's; not as far out. I'm not a fan of the large wheels, but it's not my car. Looks great!

Guys, thanks. No disclaimers required to like a car. All three of you just pointed out why cars we build are getting the articles and awards that belong to your cars. I dig the roundtable but was never a fan of older guys complaining about what I don't control. See?

Next opportunity I get, I will try to persuade them to get wheels and tires like that.

I actually like big wheels on big cars, as long as the tires still have some sidewall. To me it helps take away some of the visual bulk of the car and make it look more proportional. Giant wheels on a thin fender car, that's a lot harder to pull off.

Just like in the old westerns, Hoss can wear a ten gallon hat but on Hopalong it makes his head look more like three gallons. :)

Proportion is relevant.
