Quote from: "kb426"33-34's scream hot rod to me. If they sit well, I'm in love. :) What's the story on the glass vicky on the rack?

This rod is gonna have to come up some in front, or so I hear from the owner and builder.

Can we call it "periodic maintainence" on the Vicky? The blur dude in the door pic owns that. Frame is floating around somewhere nearby. If I recall correctly, he met that pest "Chip" when boosting a boneyard 350 and well he was kinda wanting to re-repaint it same color, and... a snowball effect occurred I suppose. It will be back in action when he turns his attention to it again. It makes a good background. A few steps farther back would let the ruby red '34 two door sedan into the frame, on the right.   8)

I shaved the holes for outside handles at the customer's request. They would not give me any inside handles or suicide locks despite multiple requests.

"They" will be taking the car away this week without a front end on it so stuff like steering column, seats, inside handles, etc. can be installed with less worry. We hung a couple more shiny parts on it today. The owner is delighted! :)

8) Thats Mike scurrying to make the other roof braces... the 33 must be about to disappear for awhile.

2 1/2 years later... he came by happy, asking about touch up and buffing. Boss snapped these as he was leaving. I hope to see it for myself some day.

Wow!  :D  8)

He is showing it locally this weekend and made it by to have a couple of assembly chips touched up. Again, wow! I dig plain basecoat modern pearl colors on prewar curves. I caught a giant enjoy off seeing this built and in person.  :)

That would look great in my drive. :)

Beautiful car , gotta ask , what was used around the windshield for rubber trim ? I want to do the fixed glass thing on my car but have not seen any trim like that. 8)

CK, I was not involved with glass installation. It did not happen at this shop. Our source on that is normally our usual unusual glass guy

I have that same window trim on my 34 Ford. . Bought it from the local glass guy. Comes on a roll and bought it by the foot.
Chevrolet S10 Windshield Molding 82-93 Chevy/GMC S10 Windshield Reveal Molding. This three sided windshield reveal molding has no corner welds for a beautiful fit and finish.

Me too! Thats about what the A job is set up for also.  I believe it is stuck to the glass then that is installed with it on. Could be wrong.

I believe I set mine up with a bout of 1/8" or 3/16 "inch gap and just pressed the T molding into that I don't have any adhesive holding mine in at all. Cut the corners at a 45 just a touch long and fit it in. 8 years now and no shrinkage.
