Matt, it was 91 here today. I actually sweated. :) Bob, the odometer had 192,000 on it. I didn't see any sign of the engine having been apart. It was running and had good oil pressure. There wasn't smoke coming out anywhere but I'm guessing it's on it's last leg. I haven't decided how far to tear it down. It needs both main seals at the least.
Today I cleaned some. It's not clean, just cleaner. :) The trans has a ventilated bell housing. It appears that the leaking main seal allowed oil into it and it was properly distributed all over the trans. :)

All those leaks were prolly a blessing in disguise...     EXCELLENT rustproofing  :!:       ...
Wait ...I forgot..You guys don't get rust....

Oh well.....I gave the bed bolts another soaking today ....They should be ready by June ..... :?  Went to a swap this AM & bought more junk Model A fenders ....After reviewing Matt's excellent instructions, I think that I have enough fenders to cut pieces from to make a couple of useable ones ....

HEY..Didn't they make Ferrari  bodies out of 12" square pieces of metal   :?:     A stitch here...A patch there....  8)

Moved this chassis platform out.  It is 11 feet by 4 feet wide. Built from 6 x 2 inch material.... I figure it's worth 200 dollars or close to some one local.

i am not a fan of craig's list.  My try a parts swap deal on facebook.

I removed the trans from the 92 5.0 and found a rebuilt clutch and nice flywheel. That was a pleasant surprise.

did you ever get a UV lamp to assist in location of the critters.  they do show up brightly in it.

just a thought..  they make really bright UV flashlights.  one can unsolder LEDS from cheap flashlights and solder in UV LEDS..

i felt all sprung about how nice this worked out.

crazy car...    rod ends with a .553" or 14.04 shaft ID.. 14x1.5 pitch threads and a shaft width of 30mm or 1.175

http://i.imgur.com/hIYHJHg.jpg  nothing even close out there..  might find some in europe..  both left and right thread..  2" /50MM of thread with a 98MM overall length.  i though the 12 point head 7/16-20 nuts were hard to search out.  since this car uses 8 left and 8 rights on the rear of the car.. i am not going to change tubes..

Check with QA1 they appear to have what you need.
Welcome to hell. Here's your accordion.

i searched their site..  nothing close..  their 14MM ends use 2.0 pitch.. these are verified 1.5 pitch..  looks like speciality products who does wheel alignment actually makes similar versions..  but will need mods to fit these cars..

check their Xaxis joints

One time I was swishing a rag around the floor with my foot to wipe up a spill. A hispanic friend cried "Look, he's doing "The Mateo"!.    Perhaps you have created the next dance craze with your technique, Tony. "The Scorpion".  :D "Abrasive boot maneuver" may not fly. A UV LED disco ball may be in order though.

OK I seem to be monopolizing this thread    somebody do something!  :P

I was hunting an article that I saw about plastic lines and thought it might have been in CC so I went to the Hot Rod Network main page... and saw the 67 truck front and center!  :-o  :D  8)

I can dig it.  :!:

Today's ambition level is low, I am just flopping around the web like a fish on a hot sidewalk. But I gotta go read that.

Here is the snotty little Pontiac junk that keeps me going, again.    Rolled past 243K this week.  :)   They were painting part of an RV so I dodged overspray in a different parking spot. I pet this car and thank it just about every day after I put it away.
