The wireless remote will enable me to control the various functions of the camera.  I would like to take a time lapse video of the crew setting up our pit at Bonneville.  I could take shots of cars running the course by having the camera adjusted on the tripod and hitting the remote when I wanted to take a photo.  The remote will also do burst shots.  If a car is spinning, I could take multiple shots of it.  Just another electronic gadget.

Showed the Pontiac to another tire kicker today. Brought stuff down from the attic and unwrapped the chrome. Geez...

I finished up the brakes on the Whambulance today, and mounted all but one of the new tires. I left one front one off yet because I still have to fix the sway bar mount on one side.

Then I started cleaning a T5 transmission for a build I am doing. And after spending the better part of an hour cleaning the case, I found a crack in it, and had to start over on another case. All done now though, so I'll assemble it tomorrow.

Finally got my fish in the pond today . Waterfall is working well , any leaks will be dealt with next year . I always think to do it after the fact but I really should measure some of these fish before and after the pond season to see how much they have grown . This year will be too short a time in the pond to bother . I also fixed a problem with a rear brake on my 98 ranger . when driving straight ahead or turning left I would get a faint rubbing noise . when turning right the sound would disappear. Turns out the bottom of the backing plate would rub on the drum . A few healthy whacks with the precision ball peen and clearance was restored .

Looks like someone caught me dragging douglas last night.

It' was special setup cruise night to reminisce about 'Back in the Day'.

it was a good night for dragging douglas. Saw a lot of folks and cool cars. Took my 61 Chrysler down at 8pm and then went home at 9pm and got my 67 Charger and went back and dragged until 10:30 or so. Early on there were a lot of draggers but later there seemed to be more parkers.

Delivered the Caddy engine to Bourbonnais yesterday. Today, I took the front fenders, all seats and other sheet metal out of the shop attic. The tire kicker that looked at the Pontiac the other day is going to buy it. Coming Sunday to pick up smaller stuff, then the car first weekend in September. Cool.

Returned from Bonneville at 2:30 AM this morning.  Track was loose and rough.  We could not get traction.

all you rodders running around doing things. the only thing around here was me blowing into a gas tank to find a vapor leak for a friend. ..  i did recall to breathe in thru the nose and out thru the mouth.

i was actually going to put a valve stem thru the side and use compressed air via a clip on hose. but the drill battery was dead and i could not see my yankee drill anywhere.
