Carnut

Well, after much kibbutzing, observation, conversation and supervision on my part, Tvicky still managed to prep and get the hood painted.

After overthinking it again I think I have come up with a solution to my seat mounts for the T . I will strap the floor with 1x2 tube , side to side and attach them to the outer edges of the sub rails . Then I will mount the seats tracks to the 1x2 , this should get covered with the carpet as the carpet will be mounted flush to the top of the sub rails . The seat position allows me to see to a height of 14 feet high at a distance of 19 feet in front of the car . I hope that is enough to see traffic lights ! If it isn't I may have to raise the top of the windshield which is something I am already considering as the top of the windshield looks low in comparison to the height of the door windows anyways .

Carnut ...  The Cruiser looks neat ... 8)

Chimp.... I think that you need to post photos & we will help you decide what path to take ...
A photo looking out the windshield while making "Brooom-Brooom" noises would help considerably .....

Bob...how are we supposed to hear Chimp making noises in a photo?  Unless, of course, it's one of those NEW moving photo's (remember, those things we used to call video's?).

I like the PT louvers  8)  and theres plenty! I bet that makes it feel a lot more roddy from the driving chair.

Chimp you could always gut the works from a Pez dispenser or two and rig you a "see the light" hole. Or if you could find a good jack-in-the box and make a visor tiltygig. Let me gnaw my crayons a little and I'll draw you a diagram

Quote from: "Crosley"Wife mentioned to me, it would be nice if a couple of the projects were finished before I die since she prefers not to deal with them.  LOL

It did get me thinking about my next round of clean out of the work shop.

Biggest problem I have is that I have..HAD  made money on stuff for almost 50 years..worked for almost 30 years..here anyway..till about the mid 90's. Less and less..now..I have an awful lot of stuff that is really worth nothing on the open market. I try and sell stuff now and again..I take a LOT!! of stuff(car-parts too) to the dump. Pretty disheartening when you try and give it away..then they bail

There are however some very bright lights :D..when I mention something to someone and they absolutely love it.

There is also the evil flip side  If someone makes a remark about me having junk..you know what happens to something that they would have loved that I come across that is not worth anything on the open market.

I remember a time of like 4 barrel carbs selling for  $100 used.
   Last time I was there..
Probablly the largest automotive flea market in the world..for some time now. Guys had collections of old 4 barrel carbs that would boggle the mind.
We were talking about just piles and piles of them in the backs of guys trucks.

    $5 each..and if you wanted to buy a bunch..less

I sure had my time and my fun :D made some good money too!
  Oh well..times change
