Wow... two years ago, I decided to paint the fender flares on my Ranger. I masked the flares from the truck and painted them with the black 'flare' paint, and they are  holding up fine. Pulling the fenders sounds like a lot of work. Hope it turned out okay for you.

My friends thought that I was anal after I pulled out all of the access plugs & panels & flooded the rocker panels / wheel opening area's / doors & cab corners of my pickup with Rustoleum spray paint until it dripped from the drain holes .... :?

After loosing my '89 at an early age, its now ANYTHING to fight the rust demon war...

Rust demons? Hmmm. Good thing some folks like cold , snow , ice , salty roads. LOL

Not putting this on you but:

I have a cousin in Illinoise.... she LUVS the 4 seasons, does not care for Arizona... yet each winter I receive "those emails"  complaining about cold , snow , wind, ice, cant go outside.... yada yada.

This is a 4 door car.  Rear doors are suicide style opening.  I know some folks do not care for 4 door cars on the drag strip.  Sorry, you need to adjust thinking

Guilty as charged. Or well at least sedans aren't for this guy but I never go to dragstrips either. I love my heavy street coupe but don't race. I have been known to run my mouth on sedans from time to time, especially in FWD circles.

Your Simca looks as though no matter what powerplant is used, it will be a good quick ride 8)

I've seen guys (on the HAMB, I think) that take a 'desirable model car' that is a 4dr, and turn it into 2dr's. They really do a good job. More work that I could do, though.

Simca was outside today , in the sun. Over a year for that to happen.  LOL

Weight?  No idea yet.  Wheel base : 98+ inches, maybe 99 inches

The 327 engine should push the car fast enough for me.

I had the Phord  Falcon 1962 , outside today too.  Holley 4412  Carb took a dump sitting too long. Been on the car about 5 yrs, so I ordered up a kit and float for it.

Sold the Vickie, and moved it over to my in-laws garage until pickup.  Made for lots more room in my garage/shop.

Tony,
The Simca is looking good. I also have a soft spot for that body style Falcon. We lost power last Friday night till Saturday afternoon. I didn't get squat done Saturday. Been researching whole house generators. Last year the power company spent all summer cutting trees only to have high winds and limbs take the power out again!
Today is Jeep Grand Cherokee heater cores.

I'm working on a removable floor pan and transmission cover for my latest roadster pickup. This a 28/29 rpu highboy on deuce rails. My '26 track roadster was severely space challenged - something I'm trying to cure with lessons learned. This floor is sunken 2" into the frame below the  seat/body sub-rails.

I think it is turning out pretty well but it has tested my patience a bit figuring out how to fabricate the inside rear corners and the gentle radius in the sides. When I'm done with the floor itself I will make the tunnel bits.

love the engine set back on the simca . My Anglia had the front spark plug 5" behind the spindle .That little falcon is nice , one of my wifes favorite cars . I am going to be helping a friend get his 64 falcon sedan delivery going again after over 30 years .He wants me to tub and 4 link it . I want to get it going with leafs and slapper bars first . Maybe tub it after he has driven it for a summer or two .
