========= I remember a comment a fellow's wife made.  We were all joking around about his retirement and the smile on his face.

His wife then says:" yeh , he is smiling , but I now have more than twice the husband around the house and less than half of the money now" .  She was joking too.. I think

It's been a long day, but all in all a good one. I spent the morning replacing the water pump in my house, brushed my teeth with flat diet coke, went to the dentist for a filling, came back home and finished the pump before I went to work.

Tomorrow, I have to go in for a cake and ceremony, and then head for the Zoo.

Congratulations on a job (well) done!
I'm sure they will miss your smiling face around the "office".
Now when they call you back as a contractor you can demand twice the rate.

Frank,

Congrats, congrats, congrats ...one more guy makes it to the light from the dark side.  Get up early every day and make it count.  Before long you'll be so busy you'll wonder how you ever had time for a job.  In retirement one of the great things is YOU decide the schedule.

Congratulations, Frank. Now you can really get serious about building rods.

I'm down to single digits, too.  Yeah, EIGHT years and a wake-up. LOL.
