How to find value?

I did some work on a 50 Ford a couple of years ago for an older guy who was no longer healthy enough to do his own work. He pointed over his shoulder and said "go in there and have a look, I think you'll like what you see."

What I saw was an authentic vintage dirt track open wheel car. Flathead powered, wire wheels, Firestone dirt track tires, fully restored. Beautiful car.

Unfortunately Jim has passed away very recently. I hear through a common acquaintance his widow may be in touch for help in disposing of his things...the dirt car being the rarest, the somewhat rough Fordor, and a big shed full of old parts, tools, etc.

What's the best way to proceed on this? One idea that's already come up would be to contact Speedway Motors about the racer. ID and values on the rest of the stuff shouldn't be that difficult, but I really want her to get fair price on the most valuable bits.

One thing to remember, if the car has any history, it will greatly affect the value.If a "name" drove it, it will be worth more. The Miller Ford A dirt car I restored was appraised at $42,000

That car I could see being worth some money.  The Porsche Speedster...not so much.
