About 20 yrs. ago I had a pail of anti feeze I drained from a car and I sat it in a corner next to a stack of lumber about the same ht. I didn't use the shop again for about a year. When I sold it and was cleaning it out I came across the pail and dumped it and I would estimate maybe 30 or 40 mice in it. So it looks like in some cases you don't even need the bait.

Digger, maybe all we need is a bucket of Prestone with a little diving board.

We use some stuff called One Bite. It is expensive but it only takes one small grain to kill a rat or mouse.
If we use it inside, the mouse eats it and then goes outside looking for water and dies.
It needs to be placed where pets can't get to it.

A friend borrowed mine and he must have confused the word borrow with gift. I need to build a new one this week.  It is that time of year for them to move inside.  The old one was rather crudely made but worked well.  Maybe something a little fancy this time.

I can say that it doesn't work with Chipmunks. They eat the peanut butter, swim in the antifreeze, kick the cat, and leave.
