My neighbor up the road just won "Top Fuel" at the March meet in Bakersfield for the second year in a row. 8)  He has both a nostalgia dragster and funny car.[/img]

Tried to post a pic twice but it wont work.

Digger, I'll take the liberty to post a pic I found online.

There's lots of press online about those guys.  They're definitely a successful bunch.

I bought a '30 Chevy from a farmer near Morrison who was involved in racing.  The area is a nice slice of America.

Thanks George
Yeah its a cool bunch of guys, the owner and crew chief has a crop dusting business hence the name.
Actually that pic is last years car. This year the body is all mag and carbon fiber-not painted just lettered.
I think they ran 5.60's at around 269, not bad on 10 or 12 in wide tires (rules)
If I can get this to work I'll post pics of the new car and the funny car.

I just realized something.  A few years ago I met Arnie Beswick and told him I had some pics of him racing in the '60s and he gave me his home address which is Morrison, Il.  Just another piece of midwest trivia...
