I know I asked this a few years ago here and lost the post. My friend has a 62 T bird and is looking to do a disc brake swap. Would the spindles from a 67 full size meteor fit . We have a donor car and wondered if we could just swap the whole spindle and brake assembly. Is there some magic ball joint that could make this a possibility?I have not had the cars side by side to compare spindles and was wondering. Anyone know?

until somebody comes up with a different answer...

and the previous answer is probably in the archives...

will the 67 full size merc spindles work  on a 62 thunderbird...

perhaps not..

take a look at what scare bird offers... 58 to 60 bird..  and full mercurys 57 to 68

there is still a chance the spindle will fit..  as i could be totally wrong..

there is this kit.. but its not nearly as low cost as a direct spindle and rotor swap....

i think there was also several articles online someplace.. about changing the single brake master into a dual braking system..

as with a drum to rotor swap..    unless you do a matching swap for the rears..  the brake bias is probably going to be off.. ..
