Price a new one, then the $100 will seem real cheap. When did vices get so expensive?

I bought the parts I needed from Vise Parts.com. $65 including shipping. Parts came in yesterday, it's all better now.

Sixty five seems ok, considering the prices of new good quality vises.

Tried to find a good anvil lately?  Scary.

i've found a number of vices on craigslist. i now own a collection of them, . i paid from 25 to 65 bucks depending on size. all but one are for sure older made in America and the one i can't find any info about, but it is huge. if frank has a good old vise $65 is worth it to repair it.
