Last fall I picked up one of those full length clear plastic front floor mats out of a 59 Ford that sat in a junkyard for 40 years, along with conforming to what was left of the floor it got rust stains on it. After sitting on a dead car in the driveway since last fall  the recent heat wave finally flattened it out but now I would like to get the rust stains off if possible so anyone know what I can use to clean it.

You could try white vinegar, CLR, or Naval Jelly.  .....None of these  should hurt the plastic, but no guarantees they will remove the rust stains.

I am going to experiment on this one and if it does not work I will use it on my 66 F250 and cut it for the floor shifter.

I think I would try soaking it in CLR. It usually doesn't effect plastic.

Try auto polish.  I use Turtle Way polish to clean the headlight covers when they start getting dull.
