I've tried McMaster Carr and Fastenal already with no luck.

I need jam nuts for Ford tie rod ends. They're 11/16" - 20.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Don

i am almost sure that i saw some at the local OSH stores.. but they have redone the nut and bolt isle..

they get their fasteners from Crown bolt company...

if you don't have an OSH hardware store near you...  i have one close by.. there is a 50% chance they  still have them in a bags...  how many do you need... ????

i know you are in a jam....

I haven't checked to see if they have them but Specialty Fasteners was where I bought most of my stuff for the race cars. http://www.specialty-fasteners.com/

Grainger. Google 11/16 jam nut and a Grainger page will come up for the nuts.

That's a 7/16-20 nut with an 11/16 head.  I need 11/16 thread size.
Speedway has 'em.
Thanks everyone.

Are you sure they are 11/16-20?
I have a bunch of new tie rod ends and they are 11/16-18

OOPS. Who categorizes nuts by wrench size? Sorry Don.

Take an 11/16-18 tp and run it in a 9/16" or 5/8" or a metric (?) jam nut. Surly one of the will have enough meat to hold the new thread. Then when you go to loosen it up take two Crescant wrenches. GPster

The flies, or the files?  I may want a file out of the drawer, but I think I'll leave the one with the flies closed.
