Gasoline has been edging up here.  Paid 3.22 for regular today at local to me Costco.  Other stations are in mid 3.30s and low 3.40s

My wife  used some discount ''points''  from grocery store and saved 40 cents a gallon last week. Must have been lots of points or what - ever they call em.

I heard a story on the radio that said some analysts are predicting $5/gallon by Memorial Day. I'm all for free markets, but markets that are mostly free to be manipulated by speculators are a whole different issue.

i believe analysts are full of bull pucky   if they knew what was really going happen they wouldn't be analysts, they would be making "deals" that would use their info to make money

It's around$3.38 here, it does vary a lot across the area. Our Governor is propsing a  9 cent a gallon tax to help fix our roads. Along with the newest gas tax they also want to increase our vehicle registration by $60 per car per year for the same purpose...that's $240 to me..  The worst part is that many years ago the state goverment raided the road repair fund to waste money elsewhere and let the roads go to S@#t, now they say they have to increase the taxes to fix the roads.... :x

I don't know if you're serious or not, but if you are you must be staying on the Interstates mostly. You have my sympathy if your roads are worse than ours. The roads in the Detroit area are pretty beat,( they have a contest on a Detroit news station to find the worst pothole in the Metro area) and some of our local roads would actually be better if they removed what remains of the pavement and graded them. Many of the bridges are past their usefull lifespan and need replacement too. It's a fact of life that road repairs must be done, it just p!sses me off that they frittered away the road repair money and now want us to make it up.
