Local gasoline prices

I need to watch these gas prices if I buy a "gasser"  car to replace the diesel Jetta.  I will mis the real 500+ miles per tank on the Jetta

Vee W now builds the diesel Jettas with a sun roof in all of  the cars as standard equip. I will not own a car with a hole in the roof.

Paid 3.90 a gallon for diesel last nite... seems consistent $ lately.

filled up the 48 today at $3.39 :cry:  half hour later went by the same station it had gone to $3.45

when i went by the same station a few days ago it was $3.41 so it had gone down a bit  and according to the "gasbuddy" app on my phone it's at $3.39 tonite. i don't need gas so we'll see what it is when i do.

the station wasn't $3.39 it was $3.49 :cry:  yesterday i filled at costco at $3.41  and the above station was at $3.55 today

oh well if i need it i get it

Around $1.23/L. here .S. Ontario.. "534 miles on a tank"..HMMM...my 1 ton GM work van should do that..the tank is a BIT bigger though haha. 534 miles/12.3 U.S gallons...HMMM..my Focus averages about 14-16km/L. Pret near impossible for it to go less than 14km L..or over 17km. Usually right around 15km/L. I check it every single tank. My van is actually truly amazing on fuel!! I really,really baby it..driving it like an old woman. 1994 GM 1 ton work van. Extended,extra h.d suspension,5.7 engine. Next to no emissions on this. OR options haha. The egr was disconnected when I got it..still is. Passes e/test though. Barely. I do not drive it over 95km/hr..about 60mph. lol..can't afford to. At 105km the mileage drops 15% ouch. It averages 6.5-7.5 km/L. year round..it has a 155L tank.I check that too every single tank.

This is not a typical automatic trans.

Direct Shift Gearbox is a dual electronic controlled  clutch.  Valve body has 11 solenoids on it.  Box is simple, controls are different story.

Ford is using a similar  box now on small cars

$3.89 today around here. The locals are getting upset because just a few miles away it's always quite a bit less.  it's most likely because of our Canadian neighbors. Gas is even more over the border and now that Canadian money is at par here it's far cheaper for them to come over here and pay our inflated price. Can't blame the Canadians, it's the greedy local operators.  I've got a 1600 mile trip to start the end of this week, it seems like every time I plan one of these trips gas takes a big jump.   :x

$3.89/9 here last night. TV says to go up again today. That's $0.40 in 5 days or so.
