Lynyrd Skynyrd will in concert Friday night, 8-6-04 at the Waterfront Venue in Louisville. I gotz my tix early on. Anyone else going?

Gary Rossington and Billy Powell. Johnny Van Zandt (brother) is the singer, Hughie Thomason from the Outlaws on Lead, Ricky Medlocke (an original Skynyrd studio player) from Blackfoot on lead, various drummers (Artimus Pyle, the original is still around) and Joe Bonamasso on Bass since Leon Wilkinson died. Cassie Gaines still sings backup. Never heard what happened to Ed King, an original lead player.

They'll be teamed up with The Almond Bros. Band for some shows later this summer. Little known fact: Duane Almond recorded a few tracks with Gary Rossington and Allen Collins back before his motorcycle crash in `73.   2 of these tracks were dubbed into the Rossington-Collins Band's first album, actually Skynyrd with a name change after the plane crash. It led to a big legal battle between the 2 bands, which is why they've never played together as a 1-2 act until now. They played single multiple line-up concerts before, but never together on tour until now.
They team up with .38 Special alot now. Their singer is Donnie Van Zandt, the 3rd brother...
