I've been shimming the doors on my coupe to get them to fit better. Where can I get door seals that are cheaper than soft seal?

Have you checked with Chevs of the 40's?

I have a 35 Master coupe. All I see are door seals for 37-38 and no pictures. Prices are good if they would work.

As I recall your car did not have door seals originally, just a windlace on the inside. McMaster Carr lists several different sizes and shapes of sponge rubber seal that you can make work.

You can look here on page 43   http://www.restorationspecialties.com/2009%20Catalog%20ebook/2009%20Catalog%20ebook.pdf

I did order the door seals for the coupe from Steel Rubber Products. Took about 10 days. The ones over the door tops are suppose to go in a track. The passenger side track was still there and worked fine. The drive side had been removed. Not so good. I glued the seal on, all the way, to the bottom of the doors. Worked out nicely. I do need to order some more because it was not intended to do the whole door. Just the tops. The seals for the bottom of the door won't work at all. The wife thought a $95 was a little much but I was happy. It was 50+ deg Sunday so we went for a ride and a wash. The gaskets and door shimming helped alot. Just need to do the back of the doors now. Thanks guys.

Hey Mike.....I've been satisfied with everything I've ordered from Steele. Now that you've got the old girl all sealed up.....you and Anita need to drive up for a visit. We'll throw some steaks on the grill!
