Have you ever tried dumping a can of Seafoam in the tank? The stuff actually does a fantastic job of cleaning out the crap in a fuel system. I use one every 10th tank of gas or so.

There really shouldn't be anything in the tank. I built the tank a few years ago when I built the truck, but maybe as  Joe (GPSTR) suggested the tank sealer may be coming off and plugging the carb.I will have to take the filter off and see what's in it.

Doesn't have to be anything already in the tank it can be something from the gas station pump.

I can remember finding to my dismay that crud can come out of a gas station pump once on a motorcycle trip. Having to stop along the side of the rode to clean out the bottom of the tank. Actually took a couple of stops before I got it all out.
