Hope for a good recovery, Mike, sorry you're going through this.  I just had my latest scoping, both ends at the same time, nothing too serious, but needs watching.  I asked the Docs if they shook hands in the middle - two relatively young guys, they sort'a looked at me like I had farted in church; whatever happened to humor?

Take care of yourself and heed what the docs tell you

Can't stress enough how important a colonoscopy is. And it is so easy and painless. I guess some guys are embarrassed, but there's no need for that. When I went in for one a couple years ago the attending nurse in the procedure room was a good friends wife. She asked me if I would prefer a different nurse. I told her it didn't bother me, I'd be asleep and she'd be the one having to look at some old guys butt. Next one I get I'm gonna have my wife write "HI LISA" on my bum! The doc told me it was a good thing I had it done, there was a couple polyps that could have become cancer in the future.
The peace of mind is great.

Can't the doctors watch for issues there by watching the "PSA" count in you blood or is that for some other issues common to old guys  :?:  :?:

Hope you heal up quickly Mike.  I had a colonoscopy a couple years ago, and they told me to come back in ten years.

Same here 2 years ago... although same doc viewed both sides.

I cant stress it enough for guys to get the scope inspection early.

the RN gave me the 'stuff' in the IV...  next thing  I knew:  I woke up and my wife was sitting there with a folder and print outs

Good luck Mike, I had the same thing in 08 and have had 2 more colonoscopys (sp?) since then. You will probably have to make some lifestyle changes but what the hell it just gives us more stories and lies about how tough we are to tell our grandkids. :b-d:

Had a good friend turn 50 & go in for his colonoscopy. Was diagnosed with cancer, & was dead in 7 months. *, I miss him.

We're out when it's done and it doesn't hurt. So what's the problem? The worst is the stuff you have to drink and what it does

40 days ago a I went to my family Dr for what I thought was some pain in the butt hemroids.

I am going home today. I have some problems peeing so it will be a interesting few days at home. They have to teach me how to put a hose up my who ha before I go home.

Thanks Again

For the first time in months I actually went into my shop and did a little bit of work on the Essex. I got the front shock mounts tacked into place as well as the front spreader bar. I had all but given up on the truck but perhaps the spark is slowly coming back.

Today I'm helping get my two new housemates settled. On Aug 6th I had to put our cat to sleep as she had cancer. I was devastated as it was only 5 months since I'd lost Karen and it was her cat and my only companion in the house. Yesterday I picked up a pair of pure white 8 week old brother kittens and they are slowly getting used to the house. Very rambunctious little critters, too!

50 F1 take care. I turned 51 this year and your warning has struck home . I will make the appointment soon. Boyd Who , I am glad you did not sell the truck and am also glad you have new room mates. I have never lived without a pet since the age of 7.
