Don't know what the cure is for this..I like the look of wheel nuts, the studs/ends,black shiny rims on this thing.
Maybe all new studs.rotors/hubs whatever. Just seems like a pita
Maybe I will just have to put the hub caps back on
Maybe paint all the studs.new nuts. Or find longer, different nuts.

I just finished spraying this again with PB..seems that I might have to resort to some sort of grease on them..

These nuts and studs get rusty so fast..I have never seen nuts, studs get rusty so fast. Just crappy metal. Well..yes I do live in the salt capital of the world..but this goes through the car wash every few weeks.

Are there really such crappy metal in some studs, nuts that hub caps are mandatory now?

Maybe I will just take the nuts off one at a time, grease them or the stud..and put it back together and spray paint all of it

Maybe I will try and put some sort of grease? Silicone? Spray? Somethin on. I can't imgaine it not getting flung everywhere.Fluid Film?

  Any ideas..Thanks :D

Quote from: "Glen"speaking of oil......she could have 2 gallons on hand if you add one of these.  just about done, still have two more lines to run.

quite the oil  system.  more cash in those parts, than I have in my whole engine & trans for the Simca.  Although I am thinking the Simca will never be on the drag strip.  Looks that way , anywho

I'm spending the day cleaning vehicles. The 51 was first. After the recent rains, the underneath side was covered in grit. The Dakota was next. My 15 year old truck is going to need a paint job before too long. The 32 is in the shop, jacked up in the air. I'm almost finished cleaning the underneath side. It's almost 8 years old and looks it. The rock blast from the tires has removed paint in many locations. I'll give the outside a bath also and it will be about ready to head to Pueblo on friday. Can you believe that June is almost over?

That looks great to me! I was hoping to clean cars but ended up wading through yard work mostly. Did manage to stick a new dash cam in the GTP to help avoid a repeat of recent experiences. Cobra 820

We're hunkering down and staying indoors and workin' the A/C overtime; officially 113 today, as I post this, 2330 Friday, it's still 106 out, and Phoenix is reporting 107.  All you AZ guys try to keep cool, too.

Last year, I posted on another forum about the midnight temp being 10?, and a guy responded: "Good Lord, where do you live?  He**?"  I just replied: "Nope, just Las Vegas."

One of our D-I-Ls hired on to work the Electric Daisy Carnival out at The Las Vegas Speedway this weekend.  It's a mostly nighttime party, and she started at 1500 yesterday; by 1800, she was in a cooling station and under treatment for heat exhaustion - she quit when she got kicked loose.  She said they had to wear black clothing, there was no water provided by management for the parking lot workers, and the ground temperature in the parking areas was from 150 to near 170.  To my way of thinking, some of those kids are just plain nuts.  I haven't heard any statistics about medical heat related cases out there, yet, but I imagine they are going to be brutal, when and if they are released.

Putting up a tv in the shop today. I bought a 39" Vizio over a year ago and thought it was about time to get it out of the box. I tried it in several places around the shop to check for florescent light glare and decided to put it above the wall cabinets over the work bench. I installed a wall mount so I can move it around to different angles.

Got the Joey for the Hopper out of the box where the installer set it 2 years ago when we did the upgrade for the rest of the house and guess what?......no remote control. It's been too long to complain now so I ordered a new one from Dish for $20. and $1.45 tax with free shipping. I guess I can absorb that. All I have to do now is make a hole in the ceiling to run the cable down that's coiled up there and hook it up.

Getting ready to retire Jan 7th. I have to get the shop organized so I can actually work out there.

Temperature in St Louis at 2:25 pm is 91 with 99 heat index. Humidity is 57% but it feels higher to me. It is the 2nd day without rain here. Everything is saturated. The Mississippi river is way high.

Local farmers have wheat ready to harvest but the ground is so wet they cannot get into the fields. Some is starting to lay down where they won't be able to pick it up. Some of the low lying farm ground is under water. Those crops are lost.

What a difference in wheat crops.  Over here in Montana, we won't harvest until late August, early September.  Normally, right now we are begging for rain, which this year, has been pretty good.

Did any of the Michigan crew have storm damage?  It is hard to get national weather damage information.

Sue said pretty intense thunderstorms kept her awake the night before last but the tornadoes were north of us a little. I guess there were a few tree limbs down at home but not much more.  I haven't finished roofing the garden shed yet and the temporary tarp even held up.

The weather was calm and quiet where I'm at in north Mich. The northern lights were out big time.

I have the new engine for Shelby's Mazda on the stand. Her boy friend Brett and I pulled it weekend before last out of the Sable I bought. Last weekend we stripped the Sable the rest of the way down, and started cutting up the body. Lots of parts for sale on Craigs list. In Ohio now, you can't scrap a car without a title, but you can scrap the pieces.

I had to change the timing cover, cam covers, oil pan, upper and lower intake, the complete ignition system, retime the shutter wheel for the crank sensor, and change the water outlet. They say you have to pull a head to install the Tribute motor mount bracket, but a small notch in the bracket, and it just barely fit in. I have one cam cover, and the oil pan to do yet, and it will be ready to go in.

All the bad weather missed us. Tornadoes hit about 30 miles east of us.

One of my buddies stopped by last night with his jalopy.

You never have time to do it right the first time but you always have time to do it again.

We had tornados fairly close, one was about 18 miles away. The line of storms that produced four of them swept right over us, but we had no strong winds, some rain and lots of lightning. We are right on the shore of Lake Huron and storms seem to fall apart as they reach the Lake. The
Lake water is only in the mid 50's now and that seems to kill the storms that need the hot moist air to live.
