Finally back working on the Olds.  Just finishe up replacing more of the plastic air line for the bags with pressure hose.  It is just close enough to the exhaust that it bothers me.  I also moved the 2 small air tanks from the inside of the frame next to the mufflers to outside the frame.  Still have to build the safety hookup to hold them if the mounting bolts happen to come loose.  I always seem to over build everything.  My son-in-law is a truck mechanic and he told me about some wire/pipe insulation that the truck use.  It wraps around whatever you are trying to insulate and then snaps together.  I still want to wrap some of the fuel line and the air lines above the rear crossmember.  Because of the air bags, the exhaust runs right up inside the crossmember over the rear end.  The air lines and gas line are above the crossmember.  I still wonder why I had to have all the air suspension stuff.  Got to quit reading all the magazines!

Had a landscape low voltage transformer photocell system go bad...  any time the daylight changed the system would turn on the lights.  I had the unit set for 6 hours operating time after it came on...

So, at sun down lights came on = good... sun comes up lights came on = bad

New transformer was about 135 dollars.  I bought a 20 dollar  15 amp timer with photocell sensor on it. I plugged the low voltage  landscape transformer into the new timer.  All is good now.

20 bucks spent rather than 135 bucks is good ,,,,,,,, so far

Granddaughter's soccer game this AM, then brunch at a local casino, then put new rotors and pads on the front of my Tundra.  The first side was a real gropefest, over an hour and a half, but the second one took about 20 to 25 minutes; cleaning up took longer than that.  Did the break in procedure EBC suggested, got major fade on the fifth hard brake down, but a little cooling and some more hard slow downs and more cooling down, and they are as good as, or better than any I have ever had.  Original brakes were still viable, but on the verge; good service from OE brakes at 89129 miles in 11 years.

Quote from: "bucketmouth"To make it worse the football season finished last week, there won't be anything to listen to or watch in the garage.

For a while, we were getting Aussie football on our tv in New Jersey.

Your games make our American footballers look like a bunch of wimps!!

For some reason, the network that was carrying the Aussie games stopped broadcasting them here.  ....I enjoyed watching them much more than American football.

Glad you like our game the only trouble with it it makes other games look slow.

I remember the first time I visited the states one of our first visits was to go to Hooters and they were playing our footy on tv, me and my buddy thought we were in heaven :D

Anyhow did all I had to to get the roadster ready for re inspection yesterday.
Today I'm sorting out the heater hoses,A/C hoses and accelerator cable on the coupe.
I maybe from down under but I know which way is up.
Oh hell there goes another head rush.

Yesterday I wire brushed and painted (by had) the gas tank mounting brackets, the tank and the inside of the frame rails so I could re-install the gas tank in the Jeepster's frame. I can't see any way to keep from cutting a hole in the body's side and have a recessed gas cock. If I made a surface munt gas filler it would have to go immediately into a short radius 90 and then into another 90 to go into the side of the tank and it would all be too tight to get a gas nossel into. today I'll go to Auto Zone and get a pre-bent exhaust ell and manufacture a gas filler neck. This project is going to be somewhat between a "Rat ...) and "Nelly Bell". GPster

I went and had my colonoscopy today. He removed a couple polyps, but said things looked good otherwise.
