I noticed you sold the bike.  I am near ready to go shopping for another Goldwing.  Maybe an airbag model

Got the brakes done on my truck. Now I am working on a throttle cable and gas pedal.  This is a dual quad tunnel ram intake so the back carb is close to the firewall. Trying to get away from buying the high dollar after market stuff.  I have a pedal and cable out of a donor car but buy the time I got it cut apart to shorten it I think I made junk out of it.

I'm still getting emails from a guy in Kansas City that wanted the bike.  Good luck on your new one.  I've still got the '58 and the '41 Poncho.  I've just always liked the fastback '63.  Seem to be none for sale in the Midwest; all far south, SE, or far west.

Also  , had an MRI scan today for my low back "Lumbar Spine".  I did not study, hope I passed.  :T)

I've had a couple MRIs...bulged discs, narrowing of the spinal canal and a bit of arthritis. I studied but my back has failed.

Charlie

Charlie ... you and I are twins in the low back area.  My MRI results were: "Lumbar spinal stenosis" is worse.  Last MRI = 2 yrs ago

I expected that news since some days  I can hardly walk on my left leg the last 12 days. I'm Gonna go visit a specialist to get answers on how bad, what to do, what to try.  Of course I may not like those answers.

In geezzer years, I am only a "tween" , but a very high mileage tween geezzer.

Tony, I did anti-inflammatory drugs for 3 or 4 years until I developed allergies to them. At the beginning of 2012 I quit taking anything and survived until April/May when I got a set of shots in the lower three discs but still had left lower leg numbness. Got a slightly different set of shots for that and was told I could take Tylenol or generic...no awards for suffering. So far, so good, but far from pain free. Have to treat my back very carefully.

When I hurt my back in 90, L4,L5, disc, I had surgery in 91, still hurt, shots in 92, still hurt, rehab in 93 with Mackenzie exercises, that finally  fixed it so it didn't hurt, and fixed it so I could make it stop hurting when it did.

So far.... Primary doctor is talking "management" on my back problem.  I want answers to my questions first, then move forward.  His answers are too generic for me.  Will see specialist for better defined answers I hope, then management.

Pain is tolerable now... I have good hours and bad hours during the day.  Not good days or bad days yet

UGLY OLDS ..... to answer your comments.  yes and since my 20's  off and on.  Now , it's mostly "on"

I am always very sympathetic to those with back problems..(or knee problems) as I have never had either of those and I still d/h ski well.
 However..I have always had a good diet..been fit,healthy.
2001-2005..a 42 month period in there. Out of those 42 months..I spent 14 of them in bed..20 hrs a day..chronic gout.
Health has been pretty good since :D I am on the "drugs everyday for life plan"
Sort of like one of those "Cash For Life" lotteries

  Good Luck!

Quote from: "Arnold"Well..we in S. Ontario are in the middle of a snowstorm..30-40cm.-12C
Some areas got the fluff.
Last nite during a lovely birthday dinner my g/f made for me..pretty much right at the beginning..a big piece of my tooth broke off.
That SORT OF dampened the rest of the evening
We only got about 4-5" of snow where I am. Easily could have backed my Focus out of my lane.
Lucked out and got an emergency appointment this morning :D
$370 to replace 1 filling  I guess better that then doing it myself
I come back from the dentist 1 HR LATER. The plow has come.
My 4x4's plow is at the BACK of  my lane.
The plow has left knee high snow  . I take a little run at it  . I am not that much of a fool  . Forward motion ends. Moving backwards was not easy. I inch forwards. OK GETTING STUCK NOT HAPPENNING!! Object=Get 6700lb Suburban ON ROAD. Rocked it a bit. Tank on road. :D
Plow in lane BEHIND snow bank left behind by plow
Walk to snowbank. Stand on snow bank to test snow pack. I was VERY IMPRESSED :!: with my 'Burb..the tracks were REALLY DEEP :D
I weigh 210 lbs with small feet..I ONLY sink in about a few inches
My snowBLOWER :D It is pretty big :D It is in my shop  There is a big drift in front of the shop
The wind has really kicked up. I will need my balaclava and goggles  Now I am putting on my big suit.

I do know where my SHOVEL IS

What was Rrumbler saying about "weed control" the other day

I might have to do some of that when I am finished this 8)

At least SOME good came from this.
  Got the lane HAND shoveled.
Could not get the plow on my truck  Spring loaded pin mount.
Plow frozen in the snow. Couldn't line it up.
Snowed the next day.Hand shovelled again

Took off one side of the spring mount pin set-up.Went out and bought
a very heavy, long, thick tapered bar. This lines up the holes real easy :D
Just stick a regular pin with a handle and a pin in there now. Takes 2 seconds :D

About a week ago... the battery in the daily driver Honda Civic  2011 model = 22 months old  died.

Under warranty, FULL coverage since we only had 35,600 miles on the car.  Warranty is 36k on primary bumper to bumper coverage.

We were told IF the warranty had been expired , battery replacemnet at Dealer would have been 120 dollars

After a new battery... heck E durn,  I changed the engien oil too.  Actually I change the engine oil n filter every 5 K miles.. easier to remember 5k mileage for changes

Hey Tony,

I've still got four grip covers for the Wing.  If you want them for your new bike, let me know and I'll send them your way.

I just bought a Power Products 2 stroke engine for a go kart project. This has set in a guy's garage for years after supposedly been overhauled. Knowing that 2 strokes are becoming difficult to find, I'm excited.  :D

I picked up most of a 327 for rebuilding. The block looks great and it came with 462 camel-hump heads with what appears to be the 2.02 valves. I'll have to double check that later.
I got a new set of .030 pistons as well as new rings and bearings. Still have to find a crank and get a cam & lifters, etc. Not bad though, and all for under $100! :D
I need to decode the engine numbers to determine exactly what the engine is. The code charts I've seen don't seem to line up with the numbers I found on the deck at the front of the block... K03 16KL.

I also looked at a project car that a buddy bought to flip. It may already be sold but if the guy doesn't want it I'm next in line. More to come after tomorrow.

Just remember that '65 and later 327s have the bigger journal cranks. Around here people are asking that much for just one of those heads. Good buy. What's the project? GPster
