Posting locally uploaded multiple images inline with text

Messages with images do not have to be hosted off-site to get the images posted inline with the text. It just takes several more steps than if you simply attach images to the post. Now lets start with the attachment box



After you select the file you want to add to your post you would have the posted attachments section appear after you click the add attachments button in the picture above. It would look like the image below



If you notice in the image above there is a section that says file name and then has the name of the file you attached in this case it is called attachbox.jpg. If you right click on that file name you get a dropdown box that has a selection in it that says Copy Shortcut. If you select that option and then paste that into the text of your message you can place the images inline with the text like you see in this post. The selection is denoted by the red arrow in the image below.



That information would be posted in the message body box in between image tags like the image below in the order you want them to appear. Now if you will notice in the image below that the file names have been changed. That is done by the software that uploads the images. It is done with a randomly generated number so that if two people tried to upload and image called mycar.jpg the upload would not fail or would over-write on the second image due to a file already existing with that name.



That is all there is to getting the images inline with the text. It is also important to note that if you upload the image using the attachment box, then copy the link, and select the delete attachment button you will have a broken image with the post. This is because you have deleted the uploaded image and it no longer exists. So what you will end up with is a post that has the images inline and then the same images in their own section at the bottom in the reverse order of how they were uploaded.
