40 coupe

ihave a 95 lt1 and 4l60e tranny in a 40 chevy coupe the trans. is bad but i do  have a good 700r4 can i switch it with the 4l60e?

It will physically fit, but there will be some modification needed to your electronics. The LT1 gets some feedback from the trans that will no longer be there, and the lockup may work differently. My advise is to call Howell engine development, I am sure they can modify your electronics to work, or tell you for sure that it won't work.
