We are busy at my work place.

 Well you'll find they want to work all the overtime they can. Where I work we have hired many guys from the work release and ankle bracelet programs. They all want to stay at work as long as possible. I guess that's better than jail, or a halfway house. Of course a week after they are released from custody or have their bracelet removed we never see them again.....

the bus was across the street at a truck tire shop.

We have hired ex-cons.  Usually they are fired for not showing up regularly or for theft.. go figure
