The less porcelain you can see the colder the plug. There was an article in HotRod ( I think) a while back on heat ranges of plugs.

I am gonna try to find some Autolite 44 plugs or an equal to that number

yes , I have seen that sheet.  That is where I got the 2127 number for an NGK plug I thought was cooler than the Autolite 45 I have now...

Wayne then said the 2127  plug was the same heat range as the 45 Autolite.. that is where I am confused about the * heat range deal.

I guess it is best to pick a plug brand and go up and down in their heat range numbers ?

select 18mm     and tapered seats.... after you click through the warning box...
