Hey I'm on the way home, go to St. George and then over to Page and here.  480 miles and about the prettiest southwest drive you can do.

c ya,

I'm in Vegas now, my lady is back in Ohio. A few days here, and I'll be headed east.

After my Albuquerque bowling adventure, I rode out to
Las Vegas with my son. He had a Ford Escape out there
that he gave to me. It was a bit disassembled from
diagnostic tests, but runnable. I spent a couple days
putting things back together, then as a test drive, I
drove to Kingman on sunday, to visit C9. He took me to
see the shops of a couple of his buddies, then we went
out to lunch. A real nice visit, and the car ran great.
So I loaded up, and left for home monday morning. I
had three computers, seven bowling balls, and 300 lbs
of service manuals in the car with me.

My first stop was Blanding Ut. I stopped at Sum's house,
I was interested in the progress on his streamliner. I
had not seen it since the very start, but had been
following his build on his web site. Very impressive car.
The drive through the mountains from St George Ut. to
Blanding is beautiful and worth the trip alone.

Tuesday morning I left Blanding, headed east for Amarillo
tx. When I got into town, I met with Vance, and his
lovely wife. After about three laps of town, Vance took
me to the best rib joint so far. After a great BBQ dinner
I got a room for the night. This was the longest driving
day, 630 miles.

Wednesday morning I left early for Neosho Mo. My goal was
WZJunk, John's home. I made it there about 3 pm. We took
a run up to Haywire for some electrical parts, and did
a tornado tour, wednesday evening. I also got a nice
drive in a 39 Ford street rod. Thursday morning John
took me on a tour of more of the shops of the many
talented people out there. I just can't get over how
many there are in such a small area. I meet new ones
every time I go through. This time it was a guy who
hand forms aluminum bodies, and another who collects
50s and 60s modified racers. Totally awesome.

Thurday afternoon, I headed to St Louis, to see my sister
I had not seen her in nearly two years, so it was fun
catching up.

Friday I headed east again, met with Fatcat and my wife
in Indianapolis, we had dinner and finished the drive
home.2400 miles in 5 days. I would like to thank everyone for their hospitality, it makes it fun to travel to meet people like this.
