Chevy engine keeps running in off postion

i am thinking that if it dies when you unplug the side of the alternator...  
someone may have installed a load dropping relay for the hei...  or an alarm relay that cuts off the ign...  and it was miswired... or wires in as a load dropping relay but controled by the alarm...


now that you are confused.. get testing...
