I have welded with cheap wire, and name brand wire, I wouldn't try to save a buck at the cost of the weld integrity....Just IMO...

Its good to get opinions on it, My response was just that, My opinion...  I have used wire from the local bottle gas company, GTW wire, I think cant remeber,  They said it was made by lincoln, It was the worst wire i have evr used, it was only 10 bux cheaper for a 50lb or maybe it was 44, I didnt even use but about 3 lbs, and it was .23, I had to go and get some lincoln wire..
