The paint job is poor. I'm going to repaint it but it will have to wait until next summer. Today I mounted the box and the fuel tank. None of the mounts were done. I ran it outside in the sun to check the gaps on the box/ cab, that's when I decided that the paint work was poor. I'm going to have to figure out a way to have more light in the right place. The wheel is centered in the rib on the box. The angle of the camera makes it look way off.

It looks like things are coming along real good.  That pile of parts is turning into a fine looking truck.  Have you thought much about seats yet?  Mine is really cramped inside.  I'll be interested to see how you do yours.

That white firewall looks good with the green paint in the picture from Saturday.  Did you take a picture of the whole truck when it was outside?

Keep up the good work! );b(

George, I have a dodge minivan seat that I'm using. I'm not very tall but mine is going to be cramped also. I don't have anything else finished so a full length pic wouldn't have shone much. When you measure inside a 32 pickup and compare to other vehicles, there's not much room to work with. Because I intend to drive it everyday, I'm going to work on that.

One of the hardest things to do when painting is getting good lighting. I used to do it for a second job and one thing i found was florescent (spelling) light worked the best and better with a 10 foot celing. I also have 4 footers mounted on the side walls of my garage but it still seems dark sometimes. It seems you cant spread the light enuff with 8 foot celings and adding more lights doesnt seem to help either.. Another thing i need is a good exhaust fan to remove the paint fumes and that would help me see better also.. Your truck still looks good though bill. When i did my purple 34 I had one running board and fender that were light but I still made 9 to 10 k when I sold it.. Some people just dont see what we as builders see.
