Anyone ever build there own tranny controller for a 4L80E?
Know where I can get one without forfeiting an arm and a leg?
What does the controller actually do on this tranny?
Questions, questions......

======== everything.

Line pressure rise and fall, shift timing points- up & down, converter lock up & unlock.

More happens that simple solenoids going on & off.

They read  off the TPS or a cable hooked to the carb which changes the voltage (low voltage, 5 or less) the computer sees that tells it what main line pressure to set ,  when to shift etc

I figured it was probably pretty involved.
I've rebuilt a TH-400 before.  How much more difficult is the 4L80E?
Does Hughes have a stand alone controller available?

Thanks for the info.
