yes he did. sold it to a guy in Washington state I believe.
the new owner tried his hand at "tuning" the Edelbrock carb. wound up flooding the carb. and burning  the car to the ground.
he wasn't aware that the car had a elect. fuel pump, and left the key on while trying to put out the fire :oops:

made John sick. last time I heard from him he had just gotten out of the hospital after the bicycle accident. haven't heard from him since.

hope he is OK
