tranny rebuild question

How long can a rebuilt tranny sit before being installed and still not have problems with leaky seals, etc. ?  I want to get one rebuilt and have it ready to put in when I get some other projects finished around here but don't want to have a bunch of problems after it is installed.  Whatcha think?

I've stored them for 5 years before using them with no problems. as long as you have it sealed up, and kept dry, it seems to be no problem.

Thanks for the info.  That is what I was hoping to hear.     I am probably looking at 2 or 3 months storage, so I should be good to go.  Do you know of any reliable rebuilders in the Dayton or Cincy area?
