Learpilot,
I go every year( It's like going home ,as I spent a lot of my youth in the U.P.).
I'm sorry to say that the show has realy went down hill the last few years.
You will not have a problem geting a room anymore.
It's still a great time , And lots to do if you go.
Did I say that Irene will be camping out at the casino all week end.
The motel prices have come way down as they drove people away,in years gone by.
Pm me if you want ideas on what else to do up there.

Thanks for the info. As you can tell from my log in name I am a Pilot and as I fly all over this country I love to find a car shows. I was at Pelston MI in June of '99. I keep seeing Street Rods go by and I finally saw a Guy at a gas station and asked where he was going and he told me to go over the BIG bridge. The other Pilot that was with me had never gone to a car show and he was impressed. He loved the cars as well as the people. One thing is how everybody is friendly and respects the town they are in , you know no litter or drunk driving. I guess  most of us have spent years building our rods we don't want anything to hurt them or us.
This year I am coming up to Pelston MI again in June to stay for 3 days, but am not sure the dates yet. I hope it is the week of the car show.

I was invited to go and have my 32 as a featured car but even though the motel rates are down now because they all got greedy Sue and I dont want to go back. I get a paper from them every year about the show. Its a news paper like deal If you want pm me your address and ill forward it to you. Just lemme know quick fore sue tosses it...

Ya i know mike but i was totally unimpressed the last time we went and i wasnt told till we got there that our rooms were over 200.00 a night. I figure if they really want my car then they can buy me like Boyd...

I do know what you mean - The only reason I go every year is because it is so close.

You & Sue hop on that bike & come north next weekend for the Appreciation Day.....I might even buy you a beer! ... Ok maybe 2
