Now that the weather has been a little more conducive to working in the garage, I got to work and completed the upholstery in the trunk. The design mimics the interior with taupe, faux ostrich, and brushed aluminum.

Yes, I am definitely doing both of those, although I am not sure about Louisville yet.

Here is the finished interior so you can see the correlation. I should have posted it along with the trunk photo.

rumrum,

I have a question-I have recently received a Custom built Tank for my '35 from Rock Valley, and I can either put a Hagan Filler Door on the outside of my Car or put the Filler inside the Trunk. I have thought about it a lot, and wonder if you have ever had any Gas smell in the Cab of your Coupe?

I am seeking ideas on this-I really don't want to put a Filler on the outside as I am going for a smoother look, but I wonder about dragging a Gas Hose over the Paint or spilling Fuel in the Trunk-I don't have any experience with this-any insights?

By the way, beautiful job on your Upholstery-I can only hope mine turns out as nice!

The tank I have is one from Tanks, Inc., and it has a rubber O-ring in the cap so it seals well. I have never had any fumes inside the cab. The roadster I had before the '32 also had a tank in the trunk and it was never a problem.

rumrumm,

Thank you very much for the reply-Rock Valley sent me an Aluminum Cap that has an o-ring, so maybe I'll just keep the Filler in the Trunk-

EMSjunkie

Please pardon the butt-in...........but I have the filler neck in the trunk of my coupe, and don't have any smell problems either.
my cap has the O-ring seal too.

just thought you might like another opinion................... or not

EMSjunkie,

Thank you very much for the reply-this info makes my decision that much easier-I have agonized over this for a while.
