Modifying a shifter detent

You can use a four speed auto with an old three speed shift column, but you can't select low gear. All the others line up. The part that prevents it is the shift detent. This will show you how to modify it to manually select low gear.

This modification will not put a position on the gear selection indicator to tell you it is in low. That can be done too, but this customer doesn't want to do that. This will work on a 700R4, or 200R4
