I need some help.

I caught the Drag Racing / Car bug with the help of my older brother, back in the Mid-70's at the Popular Hot Rodding Nationals that were held at the 131 Dragway in Martin, Michigan.

Fast Forward 30 plus years.  I finally bought my first Jalopy/Hot Rod/Custom/Money Pit/Tuna Boat last fall.

She is almost ready to take to the street this spring, but I want/need a "cool" car jacket to wear, when this old guy is screwing with the rice burner punks     :D

I have a plan, black * Ike jacket, large MoonEyes patch on the back.

But the frosting on the cake would be a event patch from those Mid 70's US-131 Popular Hot Rodding events.

I searched E-Bay, no luck. Anybody got one laying around they are willing to part with, or know where I can go or who to talk too to get one.

This is similar to what I am after...

Would plastic be okay for you today?

Hey Don,
there's about 58,000 listings in Ebay for auto and racing patches. Here's one I stumbled on. I found a few from an NHRA event in Washington state in 1996, but didn't look at that many of the sites to explore further.

All kidding aside, this "Tuna Boat Captain" WAS (the operative word is WAS) quite the avid sailor, and sail boat racer.  I lived in Holland, Mich for 20 years and raced every Wednesday night and most Saturdays.

One of the reasons I bought the 58 Chevy was I needed a hobby now that I live in Indiana, the state with NO WATER.

I did have the thrill of a life time about a 1 1/2 weeks ago, I went to the Bahamas and was able to have a sail on an AMERICAS Cup Boat.  New Zealand 12, was a prototype boat for the 96 campagin.  The mast is 155 tall, and boat was 75 feet in length.  What a thrill!  The most exciting 12 mphs  :D I have ever gone!

That's why I kinda like the Tuna Boat stuff
